Parent and baby/toddler groups, those wonderful lifelines for parents, are surprisingly few and far between in the area. It is not something that really appeals to a lot of Dutch parents, and I found when I started mine that lots of people didn't really understand the point. I no longer run my group but there is a fantastic new one starting up in Vogelwijk (see below). There is probably demand for more, especially perhaps a central one - you can always start one in your local buurthuis (neighbourhood centre) - they are very supportive and enthusiastic, and it's the most brilliant way to make friends. I think a Bumps and Babies group is probably what is needed most badly . any takers?

Do be aware that most of the groups are not held during school holidays.
